Feature description

When using Newpipe in split screen mode (and full screen within its split part of the screen), the video gravitates to the center of the viewport while the subtitles are a bit off from the bottom edge.

This creates cases where the subtitles overlap the video even though there would be plenty unused black border to have the subtitles not overlap the video, as shown in the screenshot below.

If the video would gravitate to the top and the subtitles to the bottom, the subtitles would not overlap the video.

Why do you want this feature?

Videos often have important information at the bottom of the video, which gets obscured by the subtitles overlapping the video.
