The NAND enables opening Wii channels and installing Wii system updates directly from the Wii system, as well as testing the internet connection. Without NAND, these actions can cause system crashes.
Reason
With access to the Wii NAND, we can open the Wii Shop Channel, test the internet connection, access Live Connection apps like YouTube or Amazon, perform system updates, and much more all without risking system crashes.
Examples
Using the NAND, it is possible to:
- Open the Wii Shop Channel
- Test the Internet Connection
- Go Online
- Launch Live Connection apps such as YouTube or Amazon
- Perform System Updates without causing crashes
- And much more
