it does that make sense for me to be adding the same expenditure twice.
i might have just forgotten i have added this expenditure alr.
there should be a duplication check.
thus i feel this is a feature flaw.

Thank you for the bug review. Duplicate entries in the application is allowed to be consistent with the fact that the application supports the duplicate command. Additionally, due to the repeating nature of expenditures, we also support the fact that multiple similar transactions can be made in a single day.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Mutiple exactly the same transactions are allowed to be added. And this app allows to duplicate entries with a specific command. However, most of the time, same description, price and date should mean the same transaction and it is redundant to duplicate them more times. This might cause the list to flood with the same record.

Thank you for the bug report. Our team recognises the situation brought up and would like to reject it as a bug.

This is due to the fact that our application supports the duplicate feature, where we allow for exact copies of an expenditure to exist.

Additionally, the rationale for our application to contain duplicates is due to the fact that users may make similar or repeated expenditures in the same day. Fast typers can also type in the same description to account for this.

Reason for disagreement: Though i understand the user might record similar expenses in the same day, you must also take into account the word similar.
Expenditures where every single param is the exactly the same should not be allowed as there will be no way to differentiate the two, making it inconvenient to recall what each of it was for and when deleting it.

However, it does make sense to for similar expenditures to exist where there is a for example a different name such as pizza or prata, or a small difference in price such as 2.60 and 2.50.

I believe this bug should either be accepted or not in scope.
