<note>A self-commentary on the author's <title xml:lang="ara-Latn-x-lc">Ghurar
al-aḥkām (<foreign xml:lang="ara">غرر الاحكام</foreign>)</title>, the <title xml:lang="ara-Latn-x-lc">Durar al-ḥukkām (<foreign xml:lang="ara">درر
الحكام</foreign></title>is <persName xml:lang="ota" type="alt" key="lccn:n88218446" ref="http://viaf.org/viaf/81983793">Mollā Ḫüsrev</persName>'s
most popular and most copied work. A substantial work on Hanafi jurisprudence
consisting of 55 books (copies generally range around 300-400 folios), the <title xml:lang="ara-Latn-x-lc">Durar al-ḥukkām (<foreign xml:lang="ara">درر
الحكام</foreign></title> focuses on uṣūl al-fiqh, the theoretical foundation of
Islamic law. It was composed between the years 1472 and 1477.</note>
