DimThread freezes when GTCEU multiblock forms

Expected Behavior

Electric Blast furnace should be able to smelt aluminium. Forming an EBF and adding a dust should trigger the coils to turn on, and the crafting process to begin.
Actual Behavior

Forming the EBF works, but adding a single dust causes the EBF to not turn on as expected. Additionally, all block entities become un-interactable. The game does not crash. All mobs freeze as well. In a dedicated server, the console becomes unresponsive. Players are still able to break blocks.
Steps to Reproduce

Form the EBF. Use any arrangment of parts, coils, tier of hatches, etc
Add one Aluminium Dust, configure circuit number to 1.
Observe no light on the coils, no sound, and no interaction with block entitys such as hoppers works anymore.
