Codex Lag and localhost:2455 delay

I have two different issues, and I would appreciate your experience and advice.

Issue 1: Codex UI lag/freezing

The Codex UI feels very laggy on my system. When I am typing, switching files, or opening a project, the interface sometimes freezes for around 1–3 seconds before responding.

This behavior seems unusual because my hardware should be more than enough:

RAM: 16GB
CPU: Intel Core i5 15th Gen
GPU: RTX 5060

I don't think this is a hardware limitation. It feels more like a performance issue with the UI, background processes, indexing, or something related to Codex itself.

Issue 2: Localhost:2455 startup delay

I am also using the Codex LB on localhost:2455.

The first time I start the system, it takes around 10–15 minutes before the website becomes available and loads properly.

It looks like the system is spending a long time processing something in the background before the service is ready. After it finally starts, it works normally.

Is this expected behavior, or is there something I should check (logs, cache, indexing, configuration, dependencies, etc.) to reduce the startup time?

Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated. Thank you.
