Currently, the EXE installer installs to the 32 bit Program Files directory on a 64 bit system.

Not fixed. Just downloaded the 0.3.7 installer, wondered why it didn't show up under VLC even tough the installer ran fine, then found this and sure enough the files are under the "Program Files (x86)" folder.

@blinkenlight Please move the files manually to the correct folder. I will update the installer when time allows.
