Bug in "My Location" and "Ahead of Me" buttons, also Question about "Nearby Markers" Button

When using the "My Location" button during the tutorial, the tutorial screen pops up before Soundscape's voice finishes its announcement. Also, pressing the "Ahead of Me" button doesn't always tell you about places in front of you. I faced my phone east, and some of the places were announced in another direction like southwest. I have a question about the "Nearby Markers" button. Is it supposed to announce up to five marked places, or is that a bug? The iOS version announces up to four markers, and that's also what it says in the help documentation. Should I update the docs to match the app's behavior, or will the app change to mimic iOS behavior? Thanks.

I definitely remember finding and fixing this - and I thought it was fairly recently. However, I can neither reproduce it, nor see what my fix would have been in the code or in our internal bug database. In all my switching between main and multiplatform I must have lost the change. I'll reinvestigate, thanks.

I've fixed the Nearby Markers issue. It was a simple bug, plus some missing tests that would have caught it. I was confused in that I thought you'd requested a string change for it, but that was for "Ahead of Me" which does report up to five places ahead.

On the Ahead of Me issue, it uses a field of view triangle in the same way that iOS does and so it does include points which aren't in the exact straight ahead direction. The other possibility is that your phone compass calibration is off. I'm not sure if you are able to look at the map and check if the red arrow is pointing in the same direction as you are holding the phone?

For the My Location issue could you please report it via "Contact Support" in the app menu? That sends some info about the phone that you're using and saves asking a load of questions here. Thanks!

The "Ahead of Me" button was updated to say that it announce up to five things ahead because that's the way that original Soundscape, Scottish Tech Army, and Soundscape community work with the "Ahead of Me" buttons. I just corrected the old Microsoft documentation for the mismatched behavior. On the other hand, the "Nearby Markers" still says four places because that's how it originally behaved in Soundscape, and it still behaves that way in iOS.
