NEXAH Code of Conduct

NEXAH welcomes careful disagreement, interdisciplinary perspectives, and questions that expose uncertainty. Participation should preserve the same conditions the project asks of its knowledge artifacts: openness, boundaries, traceability, humility, and room for correction.

Expected conduct

  • Treat contributors and readers with respect and patience.
  • Critique claims, methods, and artifacts rather than people.
  • State uncertainty and conflicts of interest when they matter.
  • Credit sources and contributions accurately.
  • Make space for different levels of experience and different perspectives.
  • Respect privacy, consent, and declared project boundaries.
  • Correct mistakes without erasing the history needed to understand them.

Unacceptable conduct

Harassment, discrimination, threats, personal attacks, deliberate misrepresentation, plagiarism, exposure of private information, and repeated disruption of good-faith collaboration are not acceptable.

Scope and response

This code applies in repository discussions, issues, reviews, and other spaces represented as part of NEXAH. Concerns may be reported privately to the repository maintainer through the maintainer's GitHub contact channel. Reports should be handled with discretion, proportionality, and attention to the safety of affected people.

Maintainers may clarify, edit, hide, reject, or restrict participation when conduct materially violates these expectations. Project authority does not extend beyond NEXAH spaces.
