Counter for text notes

If you type any number in the notes, it will turn into a counter while not in edit mode. You can use these to keep track of durations or other effects.

Maybe text notes can be used to keep track of Buff rounds.This function is similar to Token Notes mod, could be a good idea?

I like the idea, though i fear that that would not be compatible with the normal text notes. The text notes are pretty much just a normal text field without any fancy rendering tricks, limiting what i can display but making it easier to edit it on the fly and without any additional clicks or buttons.
I will however think about adding a more complex text like note that would work somewhat similar to the token notes text field, including a separate edit mode. I would also like to add stuff like inline rolls and item/document links to such a note. That will take a bit of time though.

Perhaps it can support more complex functions? For example, automatically decrease or increase the count at the end of a creature's turn.
Maybe you can refer to the implementation logic of the Status Icon Counters MOD. Although it doesn't exactly match the functionality of this module, you can still draw some inspiration from its logic.

Here are some possible ideas.

In addition to the standard features, this module allows using a counter as an active effect duration. Any status implemented using the active effect format (available from FoundryVTT 0.7.4 onward) can change its type using Ctrl + Left click:

• The round countdown is automatically decreased by 1 each round.
• The turn countdown is decreased by 1 each turn. Note that it may display odd values when going back into the previous round.
• The multiplier type applies its stack count to any underlying active effect changes (e.g. if an effect would decrease your health by 4, its value will be increased to 8 for 2 stacks, 12 for 3 stacks, etc.). For effects that are already multipliers, the change is modified additively (e.g. 0.8 for 1 stack becomes 0.6 for 2 stacks, not 0.64).

That's also an interesting idea, i will have to think of a solid and easy syntax first to allow users to quickly enter countable values into the text and connect to e.g. rounds, probably something akin to the core foundry syntax for inline rolls and references. I will probably start a bit more simple with such a note type and add features via updates

I have added the enhanced text note with v1.5.0. The note supports the normal foundry inline rolls and entity linking. In addition it can also be used for counter ([[number]] or [[number/number]]) and online images (that can be added via drag and drop).
I plan on adding other functions for the inline counters (e.g. the automatic round counters) in a later update.
