Max, this is an interesting edge case.

Tereno treats preflight/payment/execution evidence as separate concerns, so an ambiguous post payment timeout is exactly the kind of failure mode I've been interested in.

I'm also curious about the buyer side of this: whether your budget policy treats an onchain payment as spent even when execution cannot be confirmed, and how you currently reason about safe retry/idempotency in that state.
