[RFC] Data structuring

Requirement

I'm looking for ways to structure my goal data.
My priority here are -

• Normalized cache
• Cache filtering, sorting at data layer to avoid unnecessary re computation
• Can be good enough for now but it should be flexible to future optimization.

My solution so far

Here is how I think would be good way of storing the data.

Advantages

• Normalized cache, as we are storing the goal data in byId only.
• Sorting, filtering is cached.
• We can add more sorting/filtering requirements as we go on.
• Updating the data after re fetching is simple as we just have to update in byId. (IF no sorting/filtering cache is affected by it)

Disadvantage

• Deleting and adding goal data would be troublesome as we have to update the cache as well.
• We don't have a way to know if the cache is invalid. I.e Lack of cache invalidation planning

Points to note

• We might be solving for something we don't need
• Added complexity
• Can we reuse this?

Alternative

Instead of managing cache our-self, we can use something use https://tanstack.com/query/latest or something similar that does this for us.
