✅ Build is working successfully
✅ Container is running
Railway is using RAILPACK from the root workspace, and it's trying to run migrations during the build phase when DATABASE_URL isn't available. The Dockerfile has migrations in the CMD, but Railway might be overriding it with a startCommand from service settings.
- Go to Railway Dashboard: https://railway.app
- Open your project (patient-passion)
- Click on
taskforce-backendservice - Go to Settings tab
- Look for "Start Command" field
- If it says something like
cd backend && npm start, DELETE IT or make it empty - This will force Railway to use the Dockerfile CMD which includes migrations
- If it says something like
- Save changes
- Redeploy - Railway will automatically redeploy, or click "Deploy" button
- Go to Railway Dashboard: https://railway.app
- Open your project → taskforce-backend service
- Click on "Deployments" tab
- Click on the latest deployment
- Look for a "Shell" or "Console" button - if available, click it
- If shell is available, run:
npx prisma migrate deploy
- In Railway Dashboard, click "+ New" → "GitHub Repo"
- Select the same repository
- In service settings:
- Root Directory:
backend - Start Command:
npx prisma migrate deploy
- Root Directory:
- Add DATABASE_URL variable (connect from taskforce-db service)
- Deploy the service
- Wait for it to complete
- Delete the temporary service
Let me check the logs first. After you run one of the above options, let me know and I'll verify the migrations ran successfully.
After you try one of the options above, please tell me:
- Which option you tried
- What happened (success/error messages)
- Any error messages you see
Then I can help verify migrations completed and fix any remaining issues!
