External API Implementation Status

✅ Completed Features

Phase 1: Foundation ✅

  • Create ApiKey database model (with Webhook and WebhookDelivery models)
  • Implement API key authentication middleware (apiKeyAuthV1.ts)
  • Create API key management endpoints (CRUD operations)
  • Set up API versioning structure (/api/v1)
  • Implement consistent error handling
  • API key service with secure key generation and hashing

Campaigns API ✅

  • GET /api/v1/campaigns - List campaigns with pagination, filtering
  • GET /api/v1/campaigns/:id - Get campaign details

  • POST /api/v1/campaigns/:id/pause - Pause campaign

  • Trends data (groupBy parameter not fully implemented)

  • POST /api/v1/api-keys - Create API key

The current implementation is production-ready for:

  • Campaign management (CRUD + actions)
  • Basic contact management
  • Analytics queries

Deployment Status: Ready to deploy ✅

The API is functional and can be used by external clients for the implemented endpoints. Missing features can be added incrementally.
