Feed thumbnails on MacOS client

Hi, thanks for your amazing apps that I use every day as a front-end for 99% of my internet usage.
I use both the MacOS and iOS clients, that are synced through a self-hosted FreshRSS instance.
When using the desktop client, it looks like all feed thumbnails are refreshed one by one, which takes a few seconds. I don't have the same effect on iOS client where it seems that feed thumbnails are cached.
Is this the intended behaviour ? Could the thumbnails be kept in cache also on the MacOS client ?
