Depth Level Adjustment & Connection Timeouts

Depth level is important as the elo goes up. It is quite hard for the engine to win without a higher depth

Adding a setting that lets us change the depth would be helpful

Has this been fixed? It seems to be stuck on depth level 2 for me. Also randomly it just decides to shut off? I do periodically go into the tab to prevent chrome from optimizing the webpage (i even turned the setting off) but it still shuts down and sometimes stays down even after restart of the chess tab and the ACAS tab. Any help would be awesome!

I have never had this issue. Here's why that could be happening,

1. You're using Lc0. At least the Lc0 WASM port A.C.A.S uses works a bit differently than regular engines and you shouldn't focus on the depth, increasing Lc0 nodes could give you better performance if need be.
2. Your ELO setting is set to around 1500. Raise it to increase the depth. On low ELO the depth is limited to make the engine play weaker on purpose to match that particular ELO as best as it can.

• Make two browser windows next to each other, one containing A.C.A.S, another one containing the chess site you're playing on. The A.C.A.S window can be very small and on the corner of your screen, just have some pixels visible. This prevents your browser from optimizing the page!
• If you're on Android, you can use the Android split screen feature to have both tabs visible at the same time. Doing this also makes A.C.A.S run much faster.

I should probably make a proper tutorial popup on the first launch of A.C.A.S so users don't think A.C.A.S is just buggy.
