M484KIDAE Port G 5V tolerant when GPIO used in open drain mode

Hi
I'm using the M484KIDAE, according to the data sheet, the port G is 5V tolerant.

Can you please confirm I can configure PG2,3,4,9,10,11 as open drain outputs and use a pull-up tied to 5V ?
I'm connecting those 6 PG outputs to the SEL pins of a 6 Mux powered with 5V, and Vih of the SEL pin is 0.7 x Vcc.

GPIO_MODE_OPEN_DRAIN will be used to configure the iOs.

Yes, this is fine and there is no issue.

Port G pins on the M484KIDAE are 5 V tolerant. You can configure PG2, PG3, PG4, PG9, PG10, and PG11 as open-drain outputs using GPIO_MODE_OPEN_DRAIN and use external pull-up resistors to 5 V.

I read somewhere the 5V tolerant IOs only concerns inputs ?
I'm not sure about the above but I just want to be sure the port G will support the pull ups to 5V without damaging the IC.
