As a course project, I am working on an alpha particle transport algorithm. As a discussion point, I would very much like to include a comparison with a professional MC program.
Could someone help me produce data on the linear energy transfer (keV/μm) of a group of 7.45 MeV alpha particles in water? For instance, I am looking for an array of LET values at every micrometer from 0 to 85 μm. It would be helpful if enough particles are transported to provide adequate statistics on both the range and the energy straggling.

Thanks in advance.
