Problems with ice mountains

Mushrooms grow there when they shouldn't and spruce doesn't grow there when it should. Other things like pumpkin, wheat etc behave as they're supposed to.

We need details to confirm this. What are the conditions of each unexpected case?

Basically, if you plant spruce in ice mountains above ground with plenty of space around them etc, just as you normally would with a tree, and then you afk the area, it never, ever grows, whereas jungle trees in the jungle biome next to it grow fine, if slowly, despite the growth rate supposedly being even lower for them. Neither ordinary spruce from a single sapling or giant spruce with the 2x2 square of saplings are growing, and I've had the chunks loaded nearly constantly for over a week now with about 5 stacks of saplings planted in a mix of single and 2x2 configurations.

With the mushrooms, both brown and red, realistic biomes will say growth rate "whatever_mushroom" = 0.00% when you left click on the ground anywhere in ice mountains (underground, on the surface, on rock, on mycelium; doesn't matter), but they still grow, and as far as I've been able to tell, the growth rate is 100% in all biomes, despite what RB reports when left clicking, so there's currently no advantage to growing them in mushroom biomes. I've grown mushrooms in plains, ice mountains, mushroom biome and jungle and not noticed any difference in the growth rate.

I don't have a nearby ice plains to test spruce and mushrooms on, but it's a fair bet they have the same problems as ice mountains.
