Dependence on GFDL atmospheric physics

There are instances in the flux exchange where calls are being made to diagnostic routines in the GFDL physics.  The assumption is that only GFDL AM physics will be used with the coupler, but as new models come online, this may not be the case.  These dependencies need to be revisited and potentially removed.
