Restore and harden a no-wallet demo journey for judges and first-time users #282

Description

Summary

The current authenticated flow does not provide a persistent no-wallet demo path. The project needs a reliable sandbox experience that can be used during demos, judging sessions, and product discovery without any blockchain funding requirement.

Why this matters

A standout hackathon project should be easy to experience immediately. A polished demo mode reduces onboarding friction and makes the product easier to evaluate in live judging environments.

Proposed work

  • Add a dedicated demo mode with explicit banner/state management.
  • Provide mock or fixture-backed data for feed, stats, notifications, balances, and sample tipping flows.
  • Simulate transaction lifecycle states with realistic fake transaction IDs and confirmation timing.
  • Add a clear transition path from demo mode into live wallet connection.
  • Ensure demo mode does not leak into real local wallet state.

  • Demo mode clearly indicates that no real funds are used.
  • Switching from demo mode to live mode is explicit and resets demo state cleanly.
  • Automated tests cover the primary demo entry and exit flow.
