When the pixelframe is flashed and has no configuration it should create a wifi hotspot. When the user connects to this hotspot he should be automatically redirected to the configuration page. The users enters the wifi ssid and the psk and may choose his timezone location. After saving his changes, the pixelframe reboots and connects to the wifi network.
If the pixelframe can not connect to the wifi, he spins up the hotspot again.

Bonus points:

  • The pixelframe tells the user somehow (gif?) that it is not configured, maybe shows the ssid of the hotspot
  • After successful configuration the pixelframe tells the user it is configured (gif?) and shows the current hostname / IP address

Tasks:

  • Create initial setup page
  • Add setup functionality to device
