  • The first major goalpost is to have a completed and ready-for-playtesting demo of the game, which means that an alpha version of the game's prologue is finished and playable. Getting this far will prove that we have what it takes to get this game made. This milestone entails completely finishing the following tasks: *Overworld system complete and operable, can invoke Battle System with arguments for what battle needs to happen *Character leveling system finished *Battle system complete and operable, can exit to Overworld with arguments for how the Overworld is affected by the results of the battle (eliminated enemy, level up, KO'd party member, etc.) *Developer's Tools for designing and editing Rooms, Graphics, Animations, Enemies, and Battles complete and operable *Have decided upon and implemented the text file formatting for the game's various custom assets. *Necessary assets created (some with developer's tools) including: *Beta Spritesheet finished for character Fourier, mainly walking and combat sprites *Prologue's... -Music -NPCs, -Rooms, -Items, -Enemies, -Battles, -Dialogue, -and all the associated Graphics and Animations *Acquire Intellectual Property copyrights *Figure out how to handle deployment (including deployment of freeglut.dll: Central, Local, or Static?)
