Selecting a large number of images in the image import window is very slow

Description

Selecting a large number of images (50k+) with Ctrl+A in the data preprocessing image import window takes almost a minute to become responsive even on a high performance system.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to data preprocessing module and click on import images
2. Navigate to a folder with 50k+ images
3. Type Ctrl+A
4. Notice that the window become unresponsive for a very long time

Expected behavior

Selection of all images should be almost immediate and respond in less than a few seconds

Actual behavior

Window freezes for almost a minute
