The AppImage won't launch

Launching via Konsole gives me the following:

Starting Dwarf_Fortress-0.47.05-r8-x86_64_fec53a325b7e6defe72804cc4a92c483
- configuration and game saves are stored in /home/user/.local/share/linux-dwarf-pack

Aborted.

I thought the AppImage should be fairly self-contained but I guess not? If this is as intended then I recon this can probably be closed with a WontFix.
