Tools.Layouts.ColorRaysByOptions not found in zospy.constants

Running Simple thick lens.ipynb results in Tools.Layouts.ColorRaysByOptions not found in zospy.constants

I used conda create -n optics -c conda-forge python=3.12 zospy to create a conda environment. I added the latest matplotlib and I get the error above.

Where are these constants defined?

What OpticStudio version do you use?

The constants in zospy.constants are defined when loading the ZOS-API (so when creating an instance of zp.ZOS). Which constants are available depends on your OpticStudio version. The layout export tools are only available in OpticStudio 2024 R1 and later, and so are the Tools.Layouts constants.

I'm curious what causes this, because running Simple thick lens.ipynb should not result in this exception.
For older OpticStudio versions, the 3D viewer part is skipped. I would like to know which OpticStudio version you are using, so I can further debug this. Furthermore, can you add more context? Which cell raises this exception (I suppose it's cell 9)? And did you modify the code of the notebook?

Do you still get this exception in Simple thick lens.ipynb? The behavior you reported may be caused by a bug, but it is impossible to figure that out without your cooperation. Can you give us more information on what you tried to do, and what went wrong (including the full stack trace)?
