Justification and Further Info

Resulti is a very good search engine that respect the privacy and also do not propose any dangerous website. Resulti is one of the rarest search engine that also focus on being family-friendly for children that use the web. Also, canadian search engines are rare, only presearch is canadian. since im also canadian, i want to contribute too by addings canadian services such as search engine, apps etc. If needed, im the creator of this project. Also sorry for the github question. We no longer have a github repo.

Thanks @jacobi090 for your suggestion, and nice work on Resulti, it looks like it has some good potential.

Although I worry that at the moment it seems a bit incomplete / still a work in progress, and so it might be better you re-open this ticket at a future date, when the app is more stable.

I wonder though, is it just a wrapper around Brave Search? If so, what does Resulti offer which Brave does not?

I also noticed a few little issues while trying it out, which you might be interested in.

• Apps does not look privacy respecting.
  • Why does the Android app need read and write access to external storage?
  • There's also 9 other permissions which most of which do not look necissary
  • And there's a Median tracker in there too
  • App is not signed, meaning no way to verify no malicious code injected
• Privacy Policy
  • When I visit the privacy policy, I get an alert() dialog!!
  • Privacy policy isn't dated or versioned
  • Doesn't state which data is shared with the third-party services
  • Details on how cookies are used should be more details
  • Should also be more detailed about children's data, international data transfers, specific security measures, retention, deletion, etc
• Looks incomplete
  • The homepage says "Under Maintenance", I tried coming back the next day, but it's still there
  • The download page is missing the links
  • The weather page uses my location, without this being mentioned anywhere- Loading a lot of unused resources
  • Not yet internationalized. And some many grammatical errors (example)
• Some stylistic and CSS issues
  • Not responsive on mobile
  • Privacy policy has been (accidently?) bold and centered
  • Sometimes the results page looks broken, given how the stylesheets are loaded and not cached.
