petnudge is a pixel pet that lives on your desktop and nudges you: your todos, your pomodoro, and your coding agent. These are the principles decisions are checked against. When a feature fails one of them, it is not added.
- The pet comes to you. You should not have to open anything to know what is next. The pet says it, briefly, at the right moment, and then gets out of the way.
- Calm, not nagging. One bubble at a time, short words, easy to snooze. Music, chat and sounds are off until you turn them on.
- Yours, on your machine. Data is a local SQLite file. No account, no server, no telemetry. AI features use your own login or key, and only when you ask.
- Agents are first-class users. Anything you can do in the panel, an agent can do through MCP, and the pet shows it.
- Characters are content, not code. A character or a mod is a folder of files anyone can draw, share and load without touching the app.
- Small and dependable. The timer and reminders keep working through sleep, lock and restart; a broken mod or character never takes the pet down.
Not a project manager, not a calendar, not a chat client, and not a game you have to tend. The pet never dies, never guilts you, and never needs feeding.
