Weird issues with variable-weight font?

First of all, I feel sorry for you to have to deal with trolls. Some people apparently just enjoy causing trouble for others.

Anyways, since the issue tracker is closed for now, I'll just put this here. Maybe members of the community who are better-versed in Cpp than I am can chime in with some ideas.

TLDR;

To replicate, try setting Fira Code 11pts as your preview code font. I got kicked back to default (Consolas 12pts).

Weirdly enough, if you set it to Fira Code 12pts instead, there is no issue.

Even stranger, if you set it to Fira Code Light 11pts, there is no issue either.

Given that Fira Code is a variable-weight font, I am highly suspecting that this has something to do with that. Although I am not sure. Maybe someone who has experience in Cpp can take a look at what's going on, thanks.
