buildup of open files ? #39

I just started using jmtpfs to rsync files onto my Pixel 8a from Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, and am transferring large numbers of files (my music library). I find that I regularly get errors of the form "too many open files". Looking at /proc//fd, I can see that there is a buildup over time of open FDs of the form:
lrwx------ 1 chet chet 64 Jul 17 08:44 75 -> '/tmp/#83497 (deleted)'
and it seems that there is a monotonic increase in the number of such open filedescriptors.
Perhaps there is a filedescriptor leak in the jmtpfs code? I'll go debug, but thought I should report it.
