Hyprpanel freezes when I hit next player on the media widget

Describe the bug
Whenever I hit next player on the media dropdown, the entire panel freezes. Somehow even kill hyprpanel or kill gjs do not work. The command hyprpanel explain is completely unresponsive. The only thing which seemed to work was killall gjs -9. Then I can start hyprpanel again. I tried to generate logs, but just could not generate any at all, how do you generate logs?

To Reproduce
Start something to play, and then hit next player. I also have kdeconnect, but nothing is playing on my phone which is connected.

Expected behavior
Do nothing when there are no other players, or just disable the buttons when there is no other player.
