Raised database requirements

Icinga DB Web v1.2.0 (in combination with #889 here in Icinga DB) will introduce support for showing the Icinga 2 dependency configuration. Part of this feature is the ability two show root problems (introduced in this commit), which is implemented using recursive CTEs.

MySQL didn't support even basic CTEs prior 8.0. MariaDB only supports recursive ones since 10.2.2. These versions have to be documented as the new minimum requirements.

Increasing the required MySQL version to 8 would result in breaking the compatibility to the distribution's MySQL package on Amazon Linux 2¹. Could you please write which newer functions are not available in the current minimum versions? So we can at least inform potential users if we should throw Amazon Linux 2 under the bus.

Can you please provide a reference to what change exactly is responsible for the new requirement? Otherwise, there isn't really a way of cross-checking this (without going on an extensive search).

Switch to 5.x using the version selector, Notice that no result appears. A quick search also confirms that WITH is only supported since 8.0

Thanks. Could you please clarify for the change log if Icinga DB Web starting with the next version will not work with an older MySQL/MariaDB version or does it only concern the dependency module and an already existing setup continues to work after an update?

Can you please provide a reference to the actual commit that introduced the requirement? With the information provided so far, I fail to see how to reason for the raised version requirement in the changelog. I don't want to write the changelog like "Icinga DB now requires [...] because something in Icinga DB Web 1.2.0 uses some CTE for something, if you want to know more, please ask [your e-mail adress]".
