19115-2 Issues raised at the 58th Plenary

On the 58th Plenary Week in London, a meeting for 19115-2 was held to review the systematic review (2024-01-15 - 2024-06-03) and to collaboratively list down some of the issues identified by those in attendance for incorporation if 19115-2 is ever revised. Below are some of the key issues discussed for consideration. For the complete notes and meeting minutes, please see the following ISO Documents webpage.

• Geopositioning Metadata (19130-2)
  • IEEE SAR, Lidar TU Vienna, Sonar Metadata are all general & geolocation metadata at the
    moment.
  • Possibly move the general metadata section out from 19130-2 to 19115-2.
  • Geolocation Metadata, possibly move general metadata section from 19130-2.
• Orthophoto metadata has become invisible to the user, can possibly make it more
  visible in the document.
• Possibly Revise/Amend after other parts of 19115 have been updated.
• JSON encoding
  • Use of UML model to encode – TC/211 Advisory Group direction
