paper: Onward! 2027 submission logistics #30

Description

@lex00

Part of #5.

What

Submission logistics for Onward! 2027.

Known

  • Track: Onward! Papers. See EPIC: Onward! 2027 submission #5 for why not Essays.
  • 13 pages body at submission, 17 if accepted, single-blind, so no anonymization work.
  • SPLASH 2026 (Oct 4-9, Oakland) closed 15 May 2026. The 2027 site is a placeholder as of filing; going by the annual pattern, expect submission around mid-May 2027.

Do

  • Watch https://2027.splashcon.org/ and the SIGPLAN announcements for the real dates, and put them here when they appear
  • Decide where the paper source lives. Not this repo: LaTeX, bibliography, reviewer responses and camera-ready churn have nothing to do with this repo's CI and will clutter its history. A separate private repo, vendoring spec/ at submission time, is the shape.
  • Line up the artifact evaluation story early if the track offers one; this project is unusually well placed for it and it is cheap when planned and expensive when retrofitted.

Done when

Dates are confirmed and recorded, and the paper repo exists.
