Some module may expose an executable script. We need a way to expose such scripts to the user.

Possible places to place such executables:

  1. ${HOME}/bin
  2. ${MSU_EXTERNAL_LIB}/.bin

Points:

  • user does not have add any new directories to their ${PATH}: 1
  • uninstalling such scripts is easy: 2
  • user can distinguish executables from msu and the world: 2
