Description of your suggestion.

I have the impression there's a hard-coded check for each individual vanilla minecraft log when giving lumberjack xp, because there's no XP Yield whatsoever when chopping modded logs, in my case, Oh, The Biomes We've Gone.

In version mc 1.21.1 xp values are set via datapacks.
By default JobsAddon does not provide compatibility by itself, so you'll need to create a datapack.
