Vending machine - visual jutter/lag every 1 second

When you have the vending machine open, every 1 second there is a visible jutter for your entire minecraft instance. You can "feel this" when navigating through the items.
To see it, look at the magnet in the hotbar in the video.
When the machine is open, jutter every 1 second.
When the machine is closed, smooth.

This is due to the tradable items UI being refreshed every second. Let me see if I can speed it up somehow, maybe offloading to a different thread or skipping updates if there are no changes.
