  • Todd is revising a new ICR Template form

Ryan's interest:

  • transition forms right to Touchpoints, if applicable
  • provide structured data to ROCIS/etc, ideally via an API
  • be reportable (en-masse)

Bin's user/product comments:

  • The ICR template is not approved. It’ll take some time for OIRA to approve it. In addition, it needs to be incorporated into each of the agency’s A-11 Umbrella Clearance/supporting documentation.
  • The key user group here is – the internal agency review and for Todd and I to provide feedback, comments, etc. So a big consideration here is being able to send the ICR Template back and forth, tracked changes, etc. We don’t really want them to fill out a word doc and redo it again on an electronic form.
  • In addition, the ICR Template get posted on the Federal Register so there is that additional requirement for how it looks like in the final version.
  • I do think we lack “data” on the corpus of research instruments that are approved under A-11 umbrellas. The current ICR template do ask questions to that effect; however, we have no ability to “read” word docs electronically now.

@BinFZheng - my recommended approach would be to implement the ICR as its own small feature,
meaning, it'd be different than the standard Forms that users create with the form builder.

Yes, it'd still be a web form, in order to capture the basic information.
But it'd have approval and a small amount of workflow considerations attached as well.

I'm trying to convey how close and adjacent this is to common BPMN type features.

@ryanwoldatwork I am going to bcc you on a few of my next few ICR Template correspondence so you can see the back/forth, edits, and user groups there.
