Amethyst in Anvil

Howdy team! I am having a bit of an issue with the mod. I'm playing a modpack called Another Quality Modpack 2 (AQM2). It has this mod and we're encountering an issue where we cannot place amethyst shards into an anvil. In fact we can't put anything in the amethyst slot. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
