Describe the bug

When you edit a Template file with an   in it the editor save it as this character: �

Software Versions

  • DNN: 09.13.01
  • Module: 08.01.00

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to an forum that uses the Community-default theme
  2. Open the control panel
  3. Edit "TopicsView.ascx"
  4. See that   is not visible
  5. make some changes (new lines)
  6. Save.
  7. Re-open, you see the � now where the   was

Expected behavior

Editor should not toch the

with planned removal of template editor from Control Panel (#1354), no longer required.
