VOLI-MCP v1.0.2 - Forex Session Volatility Analysis MCP Server

Installation

Prerequisites

• Claude Desktop (Linux/Mac/Windows)
• Twelve Data API key ([Get one free here](https://twelvedata.com/))

Steps

1. Download the Voli-MCP.mcpb file from this release
2. Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Extensions
3. Click "Add Extension" and select the downloaded .mcpb file
4. Configure API Key (if prompted): Enter your Twelve Data API key
5. Enable the extension and restart Claude Desktop

Usage

Once installed, simply ask Claude:

"Analyze EUR/USD volatility for the London session"
"What's the expected deviation for GBP/JPY right now?"
"Give me trading guidance for AUD/USD"

Claude will use VOLI-MCP to provide detailed volatility analysis and trading recommendations.

Supported Currency Pairs

Majors: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, NZD/USD
Crosses: EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, AUD/JPY, and more
Select Exotics: Available based on data provider

API Key Setup

The extension requires a Twelve Data API key for market data. The free tier includes:

• 800 API requests per day
• Real-time and historical forex data
• Economic calendar access

Troubleshooting

Extension shows "disconnected":

• Check that your API key is correctly configured
• View logs in Settings → Developer → Extensions → Voli-MCP → View Logs

"API key not found" error:

• The extension needs your Twelve Data API key to fetch market data
• Add it during installation or via extension settings
