EIP-4844: Shard Blob Transactions

Impact

  • ${\color{BurntOrange}\text{won't implement}}$ new transaction type
  • ${\color{ForestGreen}\text{will implement}}$ POINT_EVALUATION precompile
  • ${\color{ForestGreen}\text{will implement}}$ new opcode (BLOBHASH) with trivial behaviour

Notes

  • blob transactions (type 3) not supported
  • precompile (point_evaluation) will be supported
  • the BLOBHASH opcode, given that there are no blob transactions, could be supported and return 0

Blobhash should not be supported by the header
