Getting Started

If you're new, the quickest way to get up and running:

1. Grab the latest release
2. Extract and run start.bat (Windows) or ./start.sh (Mac/Linux)
3. Open http://localhost:3000

For Docker users, check the Standalone Deploy section in the README.

For additional data on global internet traffic you can look at Cloudflare Radar which gives access to cloudflare data. You can use the Radar Api.

I've followed the instructions correctly for the quick method, with Python and Node installed and current. Nothing happens once I run start.bat, I see the steps happen as detailed in the batch file and then the window just closes and nothing happens.

I had a timeout problem in docker deploy and managed to solve it. If anyone else has a similar problem, at least I'll leave this here.

Thanks for sharing the fix!

This is a network-specific issue; the ETIMEDOUT during npm ci is caused by slow or unstable connectivity to the npm registry during Docker builds. The npmmirror.com registry is a China-based mirror, so that fix is region-specific. For other users experiencing similar timeouts, the retry/timeout settings you shared are a great workaround. We'll leave the default registry as-is in the Dockerfile since it works for most users, but appreciate you documenting this for others in the same situation!

How to "Add your API keys in a repo-root .env file"? So sorry for my ignorance. I have the API key.

It's created/located in the root of the repo.

Just follow the steps outlined in the .env example file.

Another easy way to input the missing API keys is via launching the docker container ---> open localhost:3000 --> Gear Icon ---> Add Keys

I have been thinking about adding Twitter and Telegram feeds, but I need to have a method of verifying the validity or probability of accuracy along with it, as I am trying ever increasingly so to make this high fidelity in regards to as accurate as you can be with OSINT

The account I posted is from the official Al Jazeera organization. I have been monitoring their account for a while and now decided to use it for my RSS feeds due to their accuracy, especially regarding their missile reports.

You could greatly benefit from the missile reports that is being posted on this account. Al Jazeera has reporters all around the region reporting sirens, missile hits and interceptions live.

There were instances where my friends in the region would report to me of hearing explosions and just a few seconds later it would pop up in the al jazeera account on X. this specific account does not miss!

In my opinion this account probably covers majority of the missile hits, interceptions and sirens in the region. You could start with this and fill up the small gaps with other sources.

For the radio feeds, there is always only the same list of cities/counties available to listen. Not sure what the "Auto-Scan" and "Eavesdrop" buttons do? They seem useless but I don't know. How to listen to different areas?

1. I don't see real-time marinetraffic, just the vessels that are anchored in ports. is there a way to see real-time marine traffic? kinda like what you would see on marinetraffic.com

2. sigint radio stations are not populating based on search area of the map. its defaulting to the max listeners I believe? there is no way to refresh the radio scanners within the local zone map I am zoomed into

3. Global Markets section is empty. Price of oil for instance, such as Brent Crude Oil or WTI Crude Oil is not shown

4. feature request: create a RSS refresh button within the UI so the RSS feed can update manually at the press of a button

overall a terrific start to this project!

Hello! The problem is that the ships are not displayed on the map, I watched the video, there are no ships there either. Can you tell me where to dig?

Did I understand correctly that the aircraft icon also displays ships?

Some of the ship tracking relies on user supplied API keys - i did notice that the recent layer split on mil non mil tankers caused some population failures.

Might be worth opening an issue for the devs to see

Lessons learned from my experience in windows 11
download docker desktop---install
Be sure to install python 3.12.10 nothing later
copy or rename the .env-example at root to .env and paste in your keys (worth registering)
run docker-compose up -d from the repo directory

If you didn't install your api keys first (like me), just follow the .env instructions above and re-run docker-compose up -d (does not do a complete rebuild, just adds the env variables

Feel free to chime in if I got anything wrong, I can take it.

Pretty cool tool....kudos to the coder.

Awesome. Any guidance on submitting a PR? I have an updated and working flights.py that uses opensky for the whole world if anyone, but I just discovered the rate limit, and the section in said flights.py where you can define a rate limit. Is that an option somewhere in the gui that I'm missing? If not, LMK if you'd like me to play with coding it in as a configurable option - maybe in the API key section for opensky? Brainstorming/learning
