Thanks for adding this. Now it takes a couple a seconds to search with my proxy but it DOES work! Unfortunately after selecting video on fzf mpv never opens, not sure if it's related to this. I also used debug level logging but ytui didn't print anything. |
Oh wait scratch that. It took several minutes but now has mpv started! I need to try different proxy and invidious instance. |
ahh i'll take a look, opening it back for now, should have tested more sorry |
actually it does work through a proxy, mpv start but fyi any query to youtube official API doesn't go through the proxy, only query that go to invidious |
Yeah it starts after several minutes #40 (comment) Could be part of this mpv-player/mpv#3373 😔 Without a proxy YouTube is throttled to the oblivion for me. |
i'm unsure i can make mpv run youtube video through invidious easily, i'll take a look |
can you actually stream youtube video through a invidious instance on your browser ? unfortunately i don't think i can do much here |
I can't open any public instance (haven't tried private because I'm unaware of any) without proxy or vpn. One instance works fine but then again I always have proxy running for that instance and youtube domains. |
Can't use invidious without a proxy all public instances are blocked for me. Unless I host my own invidious instances I can use this app.
Can proxy be added via flag or config option? I specifically need socks5 proxy if that matters.
