How to add a new item to DataGridCollectionView

this "Addnew" method does not take any arguments. can you please explain me how to add a new item to the grid

Looking at the source here I think the method returns the new object which you can manipulate afterwards:

public object AddNew()

Otherwise you need to add the item to your source collection directly iirc.

As an alternative you can also use an ObservableCollection as the collection to bind or use DynamicData (if you don't need grouping).

If I need grouping, how to?
I use dynamicdata to refresh the collection, but whenever there is a change, the group is removed, I want to keep that group.
