Creating routes IRT using user's device GPS

Users might create these new routes using the GPS device built into their phones or tablets in case they want to. As they progress, say at regular intervals, the app might create a route point in their current approx. location so that at the end of it, the route can be shared or saved

There are tools to test this simulating different locations without leaving your house. But showing it to the final user would be difficult.
