docs: fold CAST PRO-1 Line In into Zach's pages, announcement sliders
Zach's CAST PRO-1 section (#1207) covers Line In and the boot button,
so the separate Line In and status check pages are gone. What they had
that his pages didn't now lives on the Analog In page: the one-time
Turn on audio input step, the optical-only output while it streams,
the exact Line In Streaming labels, the requirements, and
troubleshooting.
- Name the jack Analog In (Line In), and add the rule to the style guide
- TTS and sensor definitions: Announcement Ducking and Announcement LED
Brightness from firmware 26.11.3.3
- Getting Started: the Music Assistant 2.10.7 note, and Static playback
delay (ms) for a room that plays late (also in the FAQ)
- LED strip: firmware 26.11.3.2, Music Mode follows Analog In, US
spelling, menu arrows

The **Analog In** jack on your CAST PRO-1 turns any line-level source into something Music Assistant can play. Plug in a turntable, TV, or CD player, and it shows up in Music Assistant as a **Sendspin Source**. Play it on the speakers connected to your CAST PRO-1, or on any other Music Assistant player in your home.

## Turn on the audio input

Do this once, so Music Assistant can use your CAST PRO-1's Analog In.
28

1\. In Music Assistant, go to **Settings → Players** and open your CAST PRO-1.

39

While its Analog In streams, your CAST PRO-1 plays through its optical output, even with **Audio Output** set to **Analog**. That's because Analog In and the analog output share one audio connection inside the device. It goes back to Analog when the stream stops, and this applies to anything else it plays in the meantime.

Your source now plays until you stop it in Music Assistant. It plays on one player at a time, so picking it on another player moves it there. The jack can't tell when your source starts or stops, so start and stop it from Music Assistant each time. On your CAST PRO-1's own player, it's also in the **Select source** menu.

## What happens during an announcement

The CAST PRO-1 ducks the music by 40 dB the instant an announcement starts, so speech stays clear without the music stopping. The onboard LEDs turn cyan while it's talking. When the message finishes, the music fades back over a second and the LEDs go out.

These settings arrived in firmware 26.11.3.3. Older firmware ducks the music by 40 dB and lights the LEDs at 50%. Until 26.11.3.3 reaches the Stable channel, [switch to the Beta channel](../../general/setup/switch-to-beta-branch.md) to get them.
