TaskBar issues

Hello, this is my first time using Linux, and it's not as overwhelming as I thought. I was testing the options on the taskbar when I encountered an error, when I place a window behind it, it leaves a space that is not transparent and shows a solid blue image.

Another thing, when a window is maximized, it should cover the entire screen and fill those spaces.
