[BUG] 409 Conflict - Error attempting to apply AttributeConverter

Describe the bug

Search, likes and user profile pages are broken. Network tab shows that requests fail with status code 409 - with the response being Error attempting to apply AttributeConverter.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Login
2. Click on search, likes or try to look at someone's profile from chat
3. Infinite loading

Expected behavior

Pages should load and work correctly.

The beta web app worked for a while without this issue before #423, maybe the bug is fixed but not deployed?
