Stuck on Checking Puppeteer

Just won't load, what to do?

I tried redownloading it a few times, but it gets stuck on the last byte (I mean, it seems to be downloaded fully, but the wheel is still spinning). Then when I restart it it says checking puppeteer forever.

Guys, did you try launching waifu with VTubeStudio already running?

Also facing a problem in character creation. it loaded once but then it wasn't able to fetch the character.

The issue is not with the Puppeteer, but with c.ai async check. I downloaded the source code and did some tinkering. It appears ASYNC never finishes and the program softlocks. Thats all I know right now.
